Hand-carved of wood, piece resembles a large key with four hooks (to hang real keys) while a three-dimensional image of the actor wearing a top hat and holding a lantern is affixed to the top - a cute bit of early 20th century Americana evidently made by a fan of the comedian. (Please note the top portion is unattached and there are chips of wood missing from back of top hat area and on ball decor to left of Fields' arm.)
