Consisting of approximately 70 small candid photographs of movie stars on the set, behind the scenes, or on Hollywood streets that were then signed by them in fountain pen ink including (in alphabetical order): Don Ameche, Charles Boyer, Eddie Cantor, Claudette Colbert, Bing Crosby, Marlene Dietrich (many signed by her), Irene Dunne, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Clark Gable (many signed by him), Janet Gaynor, Betty Grable, Cary Grant, Bob Hope, Carole Lombard, Ray Milland, Frank Morgan, Tyrone Power, Cesar Romero, Rosalind Russell, Barbara Stanwyck, Jimmy Stewart, Claire Trevor, Sophie Tucker, and Roland Young, among many others. The images are a great time capsule that show old Los Angeles streets, buildings, cars, clothing styles, and, most importantly, the movie stars! (Please note the album pages are extremely brittle now due to age, but the snapshots and signatures are still in good condition.)

Footnotes
PROVENANCE:
From the personal collection of actress, Franziska Wasowitz, who was brought to Hollywood in the 1930s by her cousin, the Austrio-Hungarian film and theatre director, Max Reinhardt, and who was an extra in many Hollywood films until the 1950s. Because she frequently worked on film sets, she had access to these stars and was able to shoot these snapshots and then obtain the autographs in person.
