A Worcester sauceboat

Circa 1755
Of fluted shape with double-c scroll handle, the body with moulded panels and foliate tendrils, decorated to one side with 'The Boatman' pattern of a man in a boat beneath a willow tree, to the reverse a two-storied pavilion beside a pine tree, floral sprays to the inside rim. 16cm long, workman's mark (short crack to lip).
