Footnotes
It is likely that Boreham House refers to the Essex county house designed by Henry Flitcroft and Sir James Gibb for Benjamin Hoare esq. in the 1730s. The property is notable for its re-use of the staircase of New Hall, one of the Royal residences of Henry VIII from 1517 to 1547.
Boreham House was more recently acquired by the automotive pioneer Henry Ford in 1931 and was passed to the Ford Motor company in 1952 before its transfer into private hands.
