Having a 3-inch white-enamelled Roman dial inscribed "Ellis Bros./Exeter", the two-train movement, half-hour striking on a bell, numbered 2836 over 41, oval stamp of "GAY VICARINO & CO/G.V./PARIS", plus 1855 Medaille d'Argent exhibition stamp, the architectural case with spire surmount amd similar finials over turned columns, spreading base and mushroom feet, 34.5cm high, sold with a giltwood plinth, further ebonised plinth and an oblong glazed dome
