Having a 3.75-inch white-enamelled Roman dial (perhaps associated), the two-train movement half-hour striking on a bell, numbered 16494, the case cast with the figure of Saint Christopher holding a staff and carrying the Christ Child, the dial beside them in a rectangular housing surmounted by a helmet, a sheathed sword with laurel scabbard, and a laurel wreath, the dial framed by further wreaths and ribbons, on a conforming frieze relief-decorated with assorted weaponry, over acanthus, the plain plinth raised upon block feet with matching emblems 58cm high

The Christ Child, as carried by Saint Christopher, grows larger and heavier with each step, symbolising the weight of the world.
