Having a 3.25-inch white-enamelled Roman dial, the gilt numerals framing inscription "HOWELL, JAMES & Co./To the Queen/PARIS", the two-train movement, half-hour striking on a bell, with 'Gde. Med. d'Honneur' exhibition stamp, numbered 1909 52, the case decorated with a cherub seated upon a grassy mound, playing a flute, the dial surmounted by pan pies and other instruments, on a lobed acanthus-cast base inset with two rose DuBarry-bordered floral porcelain panels, raised upon four foliate scroll feet 27cm high (sold with pendulum and winder)
