William Almond In Lothbury Londini fecit
Having a 6.5-inch silvered Roman chapter ring with an inner band of quarter-hour divisions, a lobed silvered Roman alarm dial, and a single hand, framing floral and foliate engraving over maker's name as above, the weight-driven movement with anchor escapement, four-spoke wheelwork and countwheel strike, the case surmounted by a strapped bell and five turned urn finials, with three pierced brass frets, the central one further enhanced with engraved detailing to the addorsed dolphins and flowerheads, with typical lift-out side doors, on ball feet 36.5cm high (sold with two weights)
