An impressive German ebonised triple-fusee bracket clock

Winterhalder & Hoffmeier, circa 1900
The 8.75-inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a matted centre, beneath silvered subsidiary Slow/Fast and Strike/Silent dials within cast foliate scrollwork and winged mask spandrels, the chain-driven three-train movement, pinwheel-striking on five coiled gongs, stamped 'W & H/Sch.' and numbered 1644, the caddy-topped case surmounted by five gadrooned oval urn and flambeau finials, the arch-glazed door with winged mask spandrels between canted corners applied with cast terms, the mask-centred apron on paw feet 71cm high (sold with pendulum and winder)
