Having a 12-inch broken-arched dial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a matted centre with silvered subsidiary seconds engraved crescent-form strip engraved ""D'l. Fowler London", over terrestrial calendar square, within urn-centred baroque-style spandrels, the arch centred by a silvered Strike/Silent dial between cast dragons and foliate scrollwork, the movement rack-striking on a bell, the case having a pagoda top over stop-fluted hood columns, conforming quadrant trunk columns, with brass capitals, flanking the long door, and a panelled base on a plain apron and integral bracket feet 247cm high (sold with two weights, winder and pendulum - the latter unusually engraved to the bob "Higher Faster Lower Slower", and having engraved brass beat scale to the rod terminal)
