Having a 13-inch broken-arched Roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial and terrestrial calendar crescent, over inscribed maker's name "Jn. Hayes/Wrexham", within floral spandrels, the arch with lunar calendar scale framing rolling moon painted with a sailing ship flying the Red Ensign, and a landscape with ruin, over terrestrial hemispheres, the movement, with false-plate cast "WALKER & FINNEMORE", rack-striking on a bell, the good case (associated) having a broken-arched cornice over turned columns, yoke-topped crossbanded long trunk door between quadrant columns, and panelled canted base on a stepped plinth 226cm high (sold with two weights, pendulum, key and winder)
