Having a 15-inch broken-arched Arabic dial with subsidiary seconds dial and terrestrial calendar crescent over inscribed maker's name "Sam'l Newnes/Whitchurch", within rose-painted spandrels, the arch with lunar calendar scale framing a rolling moon painted with a sailing ship and a waterside ruin, over hemispheres, the movement, with false-plate cast "WALKER & FINNEMORE", rack-striking on a bell, the case having a swan-neck pediment with ball-and-eagle finials over fluted square columns, the multi-arched crossbanded short trunk door between fluted columns on a conforming canted base 222cm high (sold with pendulum and key)
