Having a 13-inch broken-arched dial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and engraved foliate half-hour divisions, framing a silvered centre with star-engraved subsidiary seconds dial, foliate engraving, and a cartouche inscribed "Jno. Stanyer/NANTWICH", inset with a terrestrial calendar square, all within mask-centred foliate scroll spandrels, the arch with silvered lunar calendar scale framing rolling moon painted with sailing and boating scenes, over foliate-engraved hemispheres, the movement rack-striking on a bell, the good case having a brass ball-and-eagle finial between similar spire-topped finials on a swan-necked pediment and blind fretwork frieze over turned fluted columns flanking a crossbanded hood door, conforming yoke-topped long trunk door between fluted quadrant columns, and matching canted base on associated ogee bracket feet 222cm high (sold with two weights, pendulum, key and winder)
