Having a 12-inch square dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, engraved "Jno. Bell Garstang", framing a matted centre, the movement countwheel-striking on a bell, the case having a moulded flat hood with dentil cornice and blind fretwork frieze over turned columns flanking a crossbanded hood door, the matching yoke-topped long trunk door between quadrant columns on a conforming base and bracket feet 211cm high (sold with key)
