Having a 12-inch broken-arched dial, the chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, fleur-de-lis half-hour divisions, and an inner band of single-hand quarter-hour divisions, framing a matted centre with recessed and star-engraved subsidiary seconds dial, terrestrial calendar crescent, engraved sunburst and foliage, within mask-centred spandrels, the arch centred by a boss engraved "Samuel/Thomas/NANTWICH", between dragons and foliate scrollwork, the movement rack-striking on a bell, the case having a broken-arched cornice over turned columns, crossbanded hood door, matching yoke-topped long trunk door between quadrant columns, and panelled base on a plain apron and bracket feet 227cm high (sold with two weights, pendulum and key)
