A Japanese ivory okimono of a fisherman

Meiji Period
Finely carved with the elderly man standing on a stumpy base, in his right hand he holds a long bamboo rod, at the end of the line is a fish which he holds in his left hand, slung around his body is a woven basket. 20.5cm to top of figure, 28cm to tip of rod, signature to base.
