A Japanese ivory box and cover

Meiji Period
The oval box sitting on four scroll feet, carved to the exterior with three writhing dragons amidst clouds, to the cover an oval panel depicts a ten-nyo, or female spirit, playing a biwa, a Japanese stringed instrument. 9cm high, 6cm long, signed in red by Gyokuzan.
