Two Japanese bronze and ivory figures

Meiji Period
The first modelled as a male Japanese musician playing a shamisen, a three-stringed Japanese instrument, standing with his right foot balanced on a travelling box, 31.5cm high, the second, a Japanese lady dressed in kimono, holding a shamisen in her left hand, attending to her hair with a comb in her right hand, 35cm high, both on wooden bases, (some losses and repairs).
