A Japanese inlaid shibuichi figure of Jurojin and his stag

Mid-20th Century
Cast and inlaid in the style of Moritsugu, the God of Longevity is typically dressed in long flowing robes, standing, with his stag by his side, holding a fan in his left hand and a staff in his right, his garments inlaid in gold, with original tomobako, or wooden box. Figure 31cm high, signed to the reverse and to the cover of the box.
