Both finely detailed in iron-red enamels and gilt highlights, the first with a shaped square panel depicting an adult monkey and a number of young monkeys playing amongst flowering shrubs, against an open trellis ground, 36cm diam, ten character Kutani mark to base, the second also with large shaped central panel, depicting fish swimming in a stream, flowering branches above, reserved on a ground of swirling clouds and Buddhist treasures, 36.5cm diam, also with ten character Kutani mark to base.
