Depicting a young street musician standing before a stone wall, her hand outstretched, her curly hair flowing down her shoulders, wearing a blue dress and holding a rustic stringed instrument, indistincly signed, possibly Ullmann, within a carved Florentine giltwood frame. 44cm high x 27.5cm wide, inscribed 'Die Betlerin von Pont Des Arts', with painted Vienna shield mark, (some damage to frame, minor surface scratches to plaque).

A Berlin plaque with the same subject matter, signed by R Dittrich, was sold at our New Bond Street rooms on 15 November 2006, lot 200. It is likely that this plaque is a slightly later copy.
