Glass paste in mid-relief on a grey-green ground, the former signed on the truncation T, both dated and inscribed respectively MARG. WARDLAW/ 1791 and AGN WARDLAW/ 1791, pearwood frame; together with Susan Wardlaw, profile to right, wearing draped and fringed fichu, her hair curled and worn long beneath a veil, after James Tassie, bearing inscription on the truncation SUSAN WARDLAW/ 1791/ Tassie F, pearwood frame.
