the figures possibly originally forming torcheres,
clad in diaphanous draped robes, one holding a ewer in her left hand and wearing a floral wreath in her hair, the other holding a small circular wreath in her right hand, her hair dressed with wheat-sheaves, both with upraised other hands possibly originally holding torchere fitments, on circular bases, the separate cylindrical plinths cast with ribbon and rosette tied floral garlands, each with impressed factory marks to the bases stamped J.ARMITAGE & SON, MANCHESTER AND SHEFFIELD and with incised marked to the tops marked No 12, some minor damages and with traces of later green painting, 200cm high overall (4)
