"Meteor" a Fenn & Wood Meteor class sports runabout

Length:14ft.3in.(4.34m) Beam:5ft.3in.(1.60m)

Built by Fenn and Wood of Taplow, c.1956 of laminated timber on mahogany frames, sheathed outside from new, with varnished inlaid decking.

Engine: 1962 BMC Vedette 1000cc inboard petrol engine no. 10P/L588. Instrumentation includes an Autonic electronic speedometer, revolution counter, oil pressure and temperature gauges, ammeter.

General arrangement: Inlaid timber foredeck with chrome fairleads and cleat, split windscreen. Forward cockpit with instrument panel and wheel steering to port, wire steering and Morse engine controls. Midship engine compartment with chrome edged inspection hatch and ventilator. Aft cockpit with chrome grab rail and engine access hatch forward. Aft deck with chrome cleat, fairleads and fuel filler to petrol tank below. Both cockpits are trimmed with white PVC upholstery. Inventory includes fire extinguisher, fenders, twin cockpit tonneaus and complete overall cover. The boat was restored in 1995 and in 2006.

Included in the sale is her original, custom built road trailer.
