An unusual gas fired stationary steam set.

With riverted crosstube/firetube boiler with fittings including water gauge with glass protector, pressure gauge, steam dome and safety valve, whistle, blower, clack, main stop, blowdown and other valves and lagged steam line with regulator valve to single vertical cylinder two pillar engine 1in bore x 1/2in stroke with hand lever and quadrant operated Stephensons' link reverse, cylinder head pressure relief valve, valve chest draincock (valve chest pressure gauge missing), cylinder drains and pipes, counter balanced crankshaft, gear and eccentric driven mechanical lubricator, disc flywheel, belt pulley and shaft coupling to reduction gear driven twin feed pump, exhaust pipe with oil seperator and other details. Further details include a small bore vertical scotch crank engine direct coupled to a feed pump with displacement lubricator, expansion dome and appropriate lagged and unlagged pipwork and stop valve and water tank, the whole mounted on a melomine/wood base, 11 1/2x14in (29.2x35.5cm).
