Pulling Sweepstake 1850, awarded to W.O.Meade-King. Hallmarked London 1850. 9in(23cm)long.

Footnotes

W O Meade-King was 2nd Captain of Boats 1850-51. Originally the sweepstake was for prize money, but in 1845 a decision was made to award silver prizes for the various competitions at Eton, an oar going to the winners of the pulling sweepstake.
