Inside two paper labels each inscribed:
"Top of the box is a piece of the Royal George sunk at Spithead in the year 1788. Centre piece in top is a piece of the rudder of the Victory that Lord Nelson died against(sic). Bottom of the box is a piece of the deadwood of the Royal William launched at Portsmouth Yard in the year 1789. Centre piece in the bottom is a piece of foundation pile taken up in making the approach to the Waterloo Bridge. William Kingeton".
Lid cracked. 3.5in(9cm)diam.
