With broad tapering double-edged blade with sharp prominent medial ridge over its entire length on each side and recessed for the thumb at the base on one side, the lower half on each side retaining traces of etched panels and foliage, the former with indistinct inscription 'Strike And Spare Not', iron hilt comprising slender arched quillons with scallop shell terminals, small side-ring en suite and filled with a pierced plate, and conical vertically ribbed pommel (grip missing, worn and pitted overall)
