A Rare German Medieval Hauswehr
Late 15th/Early 16th Century

With curved blade double-edged towards the point (extreme tip missing), rebated along the top, and inlaid on one side with a copper-alloy maker's mark, a letter 'R', the grip formed from the tang sandwiched between riveted staghorn grip-scales, fluted basal mount with small projection and similarly riveted, and trilobed pommel with central flute on each side (pitted overall)
