A Very Rare Russian Silver-Mounted Paper-Knife Formed As A Naval Officer's 1855 Pattern Dirk
By Faberge, Workmaster's Mark HW Of Henrik Wigstrom, St. Petersburg Silver Marks For 1896-1908

With tapering silver double-edged blade of hollowed flattened diamond section engraved over half its length on each side with symmetrical foliated strapwork centred on a fouled anchor against crossed rammers, the forte on each side with a sailing ship, hilt comprising recurved quillons, collar and pommel-cap, the latter with prominent turned button, and ivory grip of slightly swelling square section, in original dark blue enamelled scabbard with deep locket, chape and suspension mount, and with two suspension rings
20.8 cm.
