With three-stage sighted barrels each inlaid with engraved silver alternate diagonal bands along the forward sections, mid-sections each with an engraved silver trophy of arms, and octagonal breeches each stamped 'Stubs' beneath, becoming polygonal, inlaid en suite and each engraved 'London' within an oval on a trophy of arms, foliate engraved tangs each incorporating a back-sight, blued border engraved flat bevelled locks each inlaid with an engraved silver trophy of arms signed within an oval and decorated with engraved starbursts, safety-catches, foliate engraved cocks and rollers, the internal working parts retaining some blued and burnished finish, figured full stocks (one fore-end split) profusely inlaid overall with silver wire scrollwork and engraved silver cornucopia, a star in splendour, foliage and martial and musical trophies, the back of the butt including a plumed turban and a draped vase of flowers above a swag centred on a bunch of grapes, cast and chased mounts comprising pierced trophy of arms side-plates, spurred pommels each engraved with a starburst border, trigger-guards with a diamond-shaped foliate panel with a starburst border and each with trophy of arms finial, silver ramrod-pipes, and silver-mounted ramrods, Tower private proof marks (2)
