A Fine Pair Of 16-Bore Silver-Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistols

With swamped reblued two-stage barrels each with girdle chiselled with foliage, the forward parts sixteen-sided, the octagonal breeches each with gold-lined (gold partly missing) maker's stamps of Juan Peresteva (Neue Støckel 8044, 8045) on the top flat surrounded by eleven decorative marks, including a crucifix, and eleven silver-filled dots, silver fore-sights (worn), gold-lined touch-holes, chiselled tangs, border engraved flat bevelled locks (pans restored) each signed within a foliated scroll and decorated with a bow and quiver of arrows on the tail (some engraving refreshed), cocks engraved with foliage (one top-jaw and screw replaced), figured full stocks (fore-ends partly replaced) each carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, cast and chased mounts comprising pierced foliate rocaille side-plates, vacant escutcheons with a shell above and a bearded grotesque mask beneath, spurred pommels with linked scallopshells and grotesque mask caps, border engraved trigger-guards with foliate finial and each with rocailles and a flower on the bow, engraved silver ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrods (2)
