With brass barrels each engraved with a band of foliage around the muzzle and numbered '1' to '2' at the breeches, border engraved breeches numbered to correspond, brass action (tap repaired) signed within an oval on a martial trophy on each side, engraved thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steel, trigger-guard engraved on the bow, chequered figured rounded butt with brass lion-mask butt-cap, and vacant diamond-shaped brass escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks
