A Rare Caucasian 32-Bore Miquelet-Lock Gun
Mid-19th Century

With barrel of hog's back form painted gold over gold-damascened scrollwork, single aperture standing back-sight and tang en suite, characteristic lock painted gold, full stock entirely covered in black leather (some damage) and decorated with shaped nielloed silver panels secured by silver nails, and engraved with scrolling foliage and arabesques against a stippled ground, three barrel bands, band around the butt, trigger-plate and fore-end mount en suite, walrus-ivory butt-plate of oval section inlaid with silver scrolling arabesques (some losses), and gold-damascened button trigger (ramrod missing)
