A Turkish Jambiya
19th Century

With curved waved double-edged blade with medial ridge along each side with slender tapering piercings, the forte pierced and gold-damascened with symmetrical designs of arabesques above a Qur'anic inscription on each side, and waisted dark horn hilt of oval section, in original wood-lined silver scabbard (some denting overall) with locket caste with acorns, bud-shaped terminal, and small loop for suspension
