A Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss
Signed Wheeler, London, Early 19th Century

With two-stage barrel turned and belled at the muzzle, engraved 'London' on the octagonal breech and fitted with spring bayonet above, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock with roller, figured full stock, foliate engraved brass mounts comprising side-nail plate, butt-plate and trigger-guard, the last with Prince of Wales' feathers finial, vacant shield-shaped brass escutcheon, and original horn-tipped ramrod (steel parts with some rust patination), Tower private proof marks
