Converted from flintlock, with two-stage barrel turned and belled at the muzzle, octagonal breech signed 'London' along the top flat, signed rounded lock, figured full stock (minor repairs), engraved brass mounts including shaped side-plate, border engraved vacant brass escutcheon, and later ramrod (tang and lock pitted), Tower private proof marks
