With rebrowned twist barrels matted along the rib behind the fore-sight, leaf-sighted from 100 to 300 yards, signed in full in gothic script along the rib at the breech, and originally rifled with three grooves, case-hardened breeches each with pierced platinum plug and engraved with a tiger's head in profile between, foliate scroll engraved tang, signed case-hardened border engraved detented locks each decorated with a differing scene of stags and hinds in a landscape, blued safety-catches in front of the scroll engraved dolphin hammers, highly figured half-stock with chequered pistol-grip and fore-end, the latter with foliate engraved case-hardened trap with hinged circular cover decorated with a flowerhead, blued border engraved steel mounts comprising butt-plate decorated with a prone tiger in a landscape on the tang, trigger-guard with hounds pursuing a stag in a landscape on the bow, hinged circular patch-box cover with a stag and a hind in a landscape within a border of guilloche, trigger-plate with shaped tapering finial engraved with foliate scrollwork, vacant shield-shaped gold escutcheon, chequered triggers, original brass-mounted ramrod, and much of its original finish: in original brass-mounted mahogany case lined in tooled pigskin with some accessories (flask and some accessories missing) including serial numbered bullet mould (surface rust) and patch-cutter, the interior of the lid with maker's illustrated trade label (some damage), the exterior with vacant shield-shaped brass escutcheon, London proof marks
