With browned twist octagonal sighted barrel rifled for a belted ball and signed along the top flat behind the folding leaf back-sight, the latter calibrated to 70 yards, foliate engraved recessed breech with platinum line and pierced platinum plug, foliate scroll engraved case-hardened tang, signed border engraved case-hardened detented flat lock decorated with scrolling foliage, engraved safety-catch and dolphin hammer, highly figured half-stock with chequered grip and unusual chequered rounded extension, border engraved blued steel mounts decorated with scrolling foliage and guilloche, and comprising butt-plate and trigger-guard with chequered spur, case-hardened trigger-plate with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, set trigger, horn fore-end cap, sling mounts, original steel ramrod, and most of its original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with some accessories including Sykes pistol-flask retaining much of its original finish, and case-hardened mainspring clamp, the exterior of the lid with vacant circular brass escutcheon
