With browned twist sighted barrels, breeches with gold line and engraved with a waterfowl between, long slender foliate scroll engraved tang, foliate scroll engraved back-action locks each signed on a scroll and decorated with a differing scene inhabited by a cock and hen pheasant, highly figured half-stock with chequered grip, steel mounts (some wear) comprising butt-plate engraved on the tang and trigger-guard with a gundog and gamebirds in a landscape on the bow, trigger-plate with engraved pineapple-shaped finial, vacant silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and later wooden ramrod, Birmingham proof marks
