A Pair Of Italian 20-Bore Percussion Pistols
Mid-19th Century

With two-stage barrels each turned at the girdle, octagonal breeches each stamped 'Bosco episani' along the top flat, plain tangs, foliate engraved back-action locks, figured full stocks (one fore-end split along on side), chequered butts (one split through) with ovoidal pommels, white-metal mounts comprising side-nail plates, trigger-guards and rear ramrod-pipes all engraved with foliage, white-metal butt-traps with hinged scallop-shaped covers, and steel ramrods (2)
