A 13-Bore East India Company Flintlock Musket
By Griffin & Tow, Dated 1779

With sighted barrel signed and dated above the East India Company mark at the breech (engraving refreshed), plain tang, signed rounded lock (cock later, pan, steel and steel-spring replaced) dated above the East India Company mark on the tail, figured three-quarter stock (fore-end with minor splits and repairs) with apron around the tang, regulation brass mounts (fore-end cap replaced), later sling loops and leather sling, and iron ramrod (some wear and rust patination overall), Tower private proof marks and maker's mark of Thomas 1 Saunders
