A .650 1853 Pattern Second Model Percussion Rifle Musket
Dated 1857

With sighted barrel retained by three spring-held barrel bands (forward one loose, one spring incomplete), folding adjustable back-sight, dated border engraved lock with 'Tower' and 'VR' crowned on the tail, three-quarter stock (bruised, piece missing above the lock), regulation brass mounts, sling loops (one replaced), and later steel ramrod (worn overall, steel parts with some pitting), indistinct Ordnance proof marks
