Of steel, comprising later two-piece wide-brimmed pot with turned comb and edges, the latter with recessed border with simulated rivets, the base of the skull bordered by dome-headed lining rivets on brass washers, and tubular plume-holder at the rear, breast-plate drawn out to a point at the base, turned and bordered by single line engraving at the neck and arms, the former struck with a mark, probably that of the London Armourer's Company, two pivot-hook and pin catches for later adjustable riveted shoulder-straps reinforced with riveted steel plates, back-plate (two small holes) with turned and roped edges, rectangular hinged tassets embossed with simulated overlapping lames with turned recessed borders and secured by pivot-hook catches, and dome-headed rivets (some pitting overall)
