The first with body formed from a curved tapering section of polished cowhorn (minor worm holes), iron basal and top mount, the latter with turned brass nozzle and slender iron sprung cut-off lever, and iron suspension mount; the second with circular body formed from a gourd engraved with a flowerhead on each side within a guilloche border, one side inscribed 'Mentone' in gothic script, the outer edge engraved with vines and foliage inhabited by a bird on each side, turned ebony nozzle with threaded stopper, and two corded loops for suspension (2)
