A Rare English Arming Sword
Late 16th Century

With broad double-edged blade, hilt comprising large flat arched quillons with 'fish-tail' ends, short triangular shaped langets incised with vertical lines, tapering tang (grip missing), compressed globular pommel pierced through on one side for a thong, and separate button finial (pitted overall)
