A Spanish All-Steel Cup-Hilt Rapier
Late 17th/Early 18th Century

With sharply tapering blade of partly flattened diamond section, square ricasso hollowed on one side, bright hilt comprising cup-guard, arms secured by screws, tapering straight quillons with turned and faceted spherical terminals with small buttons, knuckle-guard with central feature en suite, faceted globular pommel with button finial, and swelling faceted grip with central moulding (some minor pitting overall)
