The first with sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section, the hilt with oval shell-guard, faceted knuckle-guard, ovoidal pommel with button, and grip (some light pitting); the second with sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section etched on both sides at the forte with panels of foliated strapwork, one framing a flaming heart above 'Vigelandum', and with characteristic hilt cast and chased throughout with rocailles and diagonal gadrooning (some wear overall) (2)
