In excavated condition, with slightly tapering double-edged blade (lower two-thirds missing) with narrow central fuller along each face, ricasso with incised borders on each side, hilt comprising slightly curved faceted trumpet-shaped quillons, long flat tapering tang deeply struck on one face with a mark, a fleur-de-lys (?) in a shield, and large chamfered wheel pommel with prominent pyramidal-shaped button
