A Two-Hand Sword
Late 16th Century, Probably Italian

With broad tapering double-edged blade with central fullers over half of its length on each side, iron hilt comprising long straight slender quillons of circular section swelling towards the tips, curved arms each notched at the end to accommodate the blade, large oval side-rings, and bun-shaped pommel retaining a silver basal collar (damaged) incised with line decoration (pitted overall)
